Tiles – these are the most common splashback material is tiles which come in a variety of colours and sizes. It is a good idea to talk to your tiler before purchasing tiles as some non standard tiles are more expensive to lay than standard tiles.
Laminate – can match or complement your benchtop colour but is not suitable behind a gas cooktop.
Glass – very popular choice due to the ease of cleaning and the fact that if you choose starfire glass (which has had the green removed) you can paint it any colour of your choice in a plain or metallic finish.
Stainless Steel – is very durable behind a cooktop but can be used in your entire kitchen and if you have stainless steel benchtops can be wrapped seamlessly up the wall.
Acrylic – not suitable behind a gas cooktop and is not as scratch resistant as glass, but can be a great alternative to glass splashbacks when you need pops of vibrant colour or easy to wipe down surfaces.
